We are developing monoclonal antibody products against a variety of cancers by using Raven's patented invention. We are discovering new drug targets and therapeutic agents using Raven's expertise in cell biology, cell surface protein mapping, and our proprietary cell lines. By the end of 2000, the complete human genome will have been sequenced and the genes patented or in public databases. High through-put screening will easily generate thousands of hits. Raven's approach to identifying the biological function of genes is derived from the study of human and animal cells in the laboratory (in vitro). There is a need to develop relevant biological systems to rapidly bridge the gap between the DNA and protein generated databases and true biological systems. Raven biotechnologies is therefore in a unique position to rapidly identify and probe biological function of physiologically important membrane proteins. Our primary focus is the identification of membrane targets for oncology applications.
