ProCorde´s functional proteomics technology platform accelerates the identification of new therapeutic target genes and proteins in heart and vascular diseases, which increasingly determine morbidity and mortality worldwide. ProCorde possesses various techniques to determine which proteins are actually important in these diseases, so that among the confusing wealth of information provided by the human genome project, appropriate targets for medical therapy can be correctly predicted and chosen. Traditional drug discovery strategies have offered limited information in this regard. Efficient target protein expression can be achieved in platelets, in the vessel wall and in the heart muscle in vitro and in vivo.
