Science Park Raf S.p.a. is the management company created to support the Science Park's development objectives. The San Raffaele Biomedical Science Park is the largest biomedical science park in Italy. It was created in 1993 to provide a high level of scientific and technological support for biomedical research and project development. It is promoted and developed by a private nonprofit institution, the San Raffaele Foundation, which has been active for decades in funding medical care and advanced biomedical research.The main areas of scientific research are the following: AIDS, biomedical technologies, cell adhesion, recruitment, and invasion, development, diabetes, gene therapy , immunology, molecular genetics, neuroscience, signal transduction and trafficking.
