World wide sales of pteridines and tetrahydrobiopterin tablets. Tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) is the main product synthesized by the company. It is sold in powder and tablet form for the treatment of tetrahydrobiopterin deficiencies (former ‘Atypical PKU’). Tetrahydrobiopterin tablets are not registered in Switzerland but the company is periodically inspected by the 'Gesundheitsdepartement des Kantons St. Gallen' a branch of the health authority in Switzerland. BH4 has not been registered anywhere in the world. It is sold as a trial preparation to hospitals and medical doctors (not private addresses) all over the world. Swiss patients must apply for special permission from the Kantonsapotheker, to purchase tetrahydrobiopterin tablets. In addition to tetrahydrobiopterin, 129 other pteridines are synthesized which are mainly used in science and clinical diagnostic applications.
