Immunitor Company is the first private biotech company formed in Thailand and has an office in California.
The first and most advanced product, V-1 Immunitor (V1), is an oral formulation comprising pooled HIV antigens. V1 has been given to over 50,000 patients in Thailand and 3,500 patients in 50 countries around the world. Approximately 12 mln doses of V1 have been manufactured to date.
The peer-reviewed paper "Safety and efficacy of an oral HIV vaccine (V-1 Immunitor) in AIDS patients at various stages of the disease" summarizing results of an open label trial was recently published in HIV Clinical Trials (3:21-26, 2002).

Immunitor products represent a proprietary platform technology which enables oral delivery of virtually unlimited number of immunogen types. These immunogens are formulated into an ordinary looking pill in such a way that they can withstand the digestive degradation in the stomach but are capable to trigger immune response once presented by the intestinal cells.
